1. Compulsory Courses: Comprehensive Chinese; Spoken Chinese; Listening Chinese; Reading Chinese

2. Elective Courses: Chinese Culture; Chinese Kongfu; Chinese folk songs; Chinese Calligraphy; Chinese painting; Chinese Tea Art; Tai Chi, etc.

Classes: introductory class, elementary class, intermediate class, advanced class

I. Qualifications：

1. Non-Chinese nationals holding a valid passport and meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education’s Education Letter [2020] No. 12;

2. Good physical and mental health, good conduct and obey Chinese laws and regulations;

3. High school graduate or equivalent;

4. 18 -55 years old;

5. Sufficient financial security.

II. Application materials：

1. Scanned copy of the passport photo page;

2. the highest diploma certificate and transcripts

3. Medical Examination Record for Foreigners (Valid for six months);

4. Proof of non-criminal record (graduating students can submit a certificate of good performance in school);

5. Proof of financial ability of self-supporting students;

6. Applicants who are under 18 years old must submit proof of entrustment signed by a legal guardian in China;

7. Applicants who current study at a registered school in China apply for YNNU should also provide:

(1) The letter of transfer consent and transcript of the current institution stamped with the official seal;

(2) Photocopy of visa or residence permit in China;

8. For current teachers or employees in China, you must provide the letter of expected termination of the employment contract from the employer.

Note:

1. The uploaded certificates, certificates, and transcripts must be original Chinese or English or notarized copies. For materials that are not in Chinese or English, the original and notarized Chinese or English translations must be uploaded at the same time;

2. Please scan with a scanner and upload relevant documents. Documents taken by mobile phones or cameras will not be accepted.

III. Application and Acceptance Process

1.  Apply online: Applicants please visit the International Student Registration Website of YNNU at http://ynnu.at0086.cn/student to apply online, submit clear electronic materials, and send an email to ynhuawen@163.com to confirm after successful submission.

2. Check the status of the application online: Applicants can check the progress and status of the application through the application portal, please regularly check the system messages and your emails so as not to miss important notices;

3. Application results: YNNU reviews all the materials of the applicant and conducts interviews if necessary; applicants can check the admission results in the online application portal for international students of Yunnan Normal University http://ynnu.at0086.cn/student;

IV. Visa Application and Registration

1. Applicants should apply for a Study Visa (X1 visa) at the Chinese Embassy or consulate general in your country with your passport, Admission Notice, the JW202 form and the Medical Examination Record for Foreigners and other related documents.

2. Applicants should come to our university to register before the date written on the Admission Notice. New students must bring their original degree certificates for the university to review their admission qualifications. Those who do not meet the admission requirements will be disqualified.
