Ⅰ. Enrollment students: New students who don’t study in China now.
Ⅱ. Program
a. Master’s programs: major study duration is two or three years
b. Doctoral programs: major study duration is four years.
The scholarship duration is specified in the Admission Notice, covering Chinese language study and major study, but cannot be extended in general. The courses are taught in Chinese.
Ⅲ. Scholarship Coverage
a. A waiver of fee for tuition;
b. Free on-campus dormitory accommodation;
c. Monthly living allowance:
Master’s students: CNY3000 per month;
Doctoarl students: CNY3500 per month;
d. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China.
Ⅳ.Eligibility:
a. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
b.Applicants should be those who are not registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application or those who graduated from Chinese universities more than one year ago;
c. Applicants who apply for a master degree should have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years of age.
d. Applicants who apply for a doctoral degree should have a master’s degree and be under 40 years of age.
Ⅴ. Application Time: From January10, 2020 to March 20, 2020
Ⅵ. Application Procedure
a. Applicants directly apply to Yunnan Normal University.
b. Applicants must finish the online application procedure through the CSC Online Application System for International Students. Please go to http://www.campuschina.org or http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login or to fill in all the required information, and then submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online and print it out.

d. Applicants should prepare all the application documents according to the following list and send the documents to Yunnan Normal University between February 15th and March 25th.
Ⅶ. Application Documents (in duplicates)
a. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship. (one original and one photocopy in Chinese or in English)
b. A photocopy of the first page of the passport.
c. Highest diploma (notarized copies of degree certificate and diploma). If applicants are either students or have been employed, they must provide a study certification or working certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
d. Photocopies of transcripts. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
e. A study or research plan signed by the applicant in Chinese or in English no less than 800 words.
f. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English written by professors or associate professors.
g. A photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Please bring the original ones when you come to China.
h.HSK Certificate: Applicants need to submit HSK level 5 report result or above.
Note:
The above documents should be bound on top left corner (in duplicates) in order and post directly to Yunnan Normal University. The applications documents will not be returned whether you are accepted or not.
Ⅷ. Approval and Notification
a.Yunnan Normal University will organize experts to examine the application materials of applicants and submit the nominated candidates to the Education Department of Yunnan Province and CSC to review. Qualified candidates will be officially awarded Chinese Government Scholarship with the approval from CSC.
b.Yunnan Normal university will post the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201) to the scholarship winners at the beginning of July, 2020.
c. Each individual applicant is eligible for only one scholarship. CSC is authorized to award only one scholarship to each individual applicant nominated by more than one university.
d. Students are not permitted, in general, to apply to change their majors, host universities or the duration of study as specified in the Admission Notice once they agree to accept the scholarship.
e. If applicants fail to register before the deadline for registration, their scholarship will not be reserved.
